Educational Qualifications:
Technical Registration: Must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State / Indian Nursing Council.
Alternative Qualification (GNM):
Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM).
Experience: Two years' experience in a minimum 50-bedded Hospital acquired after obtaining the diploma and registration.
General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 3000/-.
SC/ST Candidates/EWS: Rs. 2400/-.
Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted from fee payment.
Refund Note: Fees for SC/ST candidates who appear in the exam will be refunded after the results.

Digital copy of Photograph, Signature, and Left Thumb Impression.
Educational Certificates (B.Sc./Diploma marksheets and degrees).
Valid Registration Certificate from INC/State Nursing Council.
Experience Certificate (for GNM candidates).
Caste/Category Certificate (OBC/EWS/SC/ST) if applicable.
No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently employed in Government/PSU.

Fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, and experience.
Upload images (Photo, Signature, Thumb Impression) strictly following the specified guidelines.
Pay the Application Fee online via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.
Submit the form and save a printout of the registration slip for your records.
The selection is done through a strict two-stage process:
Stage I (NORCET Preliminary): A qualifying exam with 100 MCQs. It filters candidates for the next round but doesn't count toward the final merit.
Stage II (NORCET Main): Focuses on nursing skills and case scenarios (160 MCQs). Final merit and seat allocation are based solely on these marks.
Document Verification: Successful candidates will undergo verification by their respective allotted institutes.
Can final year B.Sc. Nursing students apply?
👉 No, you must have completed your residency and registration by the closing date.
Is there negative marking?
👉 Yes, $1/3$ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer in both stages.
Is the application fee refundable?
👉 Only for SC/ST candidates who actually appear for the exam; otherwise, it is non-refundable.
What is the 80:20 rule?
👉 80% of vacancies are reserved for women, and 20% for men in AIIMS.
Can I apply if I have a GNM Diploma?
👉 Yes, but you must have 2 years of experience in a 50-bedded hospital.
Will there be an interview?
👉 No, selection is based on the NORCET Main Exam score.
What is the duration of the exams?
👉 Stage I is 90 minutes; Stage II is 180 minutes.
Can I choose my exam city?
👉 You can select your preference, but allocation is at the discretion of AIIMS.
What if I am already a government employee?
👉 You must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Is there a waiting list?
👉 No, since the exam is conducted twice a year, no waiting list is maintained.
