The recruitment process is thorough and consists of three main stages:
Stage I: Written Examination: An objective-type test consisting of 200 marks.
Stage II: PST, PET & Trade Test: Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio for physical standards, efficiency tests (running, jumping), and trade tests where applicable.
Stage III: Medical Fitness Test: Final check for physical and visual suitability.
Note: Stage II and III are qualifying in nature. The final merit is based solely on the Written Exam marks.
Can female candidates apply for all posts?
Ans: No, certain posts like Constable IRBn (Male) and Fireman are reserved for males, while Constable Civil Police (Female) is for females.
Is there negative marking in the written exam?
Ans: No, there is no negative marking.
What is the minimum pass mark for the exam?
Ans: You must score at least 33% in aggregate.
Are Ex-Servicemen required to give the PET?
Ans: No, they are exempted from the PET and Trade Test but must pass the Physical Standard Test (PST).
Can I change my exam center later?
