Professional Qualification: A B.Ed (General) degree from an NCTE-recognized institute is mandatory.
Course Duration: The B.Ed must be of at least two years (except for those who graduated before 2015, where one year is acceptable).
Integrated Course: Candidates with a 4-year Integrated B.Ed degree are also eligible.
Note: Students in their final year/semester are not eligible. B.Ed in Special Education is not accepted.

OTR Registration: Visit the Official Website (https://appsc.gov.in) and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if you haven't already.
Login: Use your User ID and Password created during OTR to log in to the portal.
Select Post: Look for "Trained Graduate Teacher Examination 2026" and click on the "Apply" link.
Fill Details: Carefully enter your educational qualifications and choice of subject (you can apply for only one subject).
Upload Documents: Upload your scanned signature, photo, and ID card in the prescribed format.
Pay Fee: Complete the application by paying the relevant fee through the online gateway.

The selection is a three-stage process designed to test both knowledge and teaching skills:
Written Exam (Objective Type): Two papers covering general and subject-specific topics.
Classroom Teaching: Assessment of practical teaching abilities.
Viva-Voce: A personal interview to evaluate the candidate's personality and suitability.
Can I apply for more than one subject?
Ans: No, each candidate is permitted to apply for only one TGT post.
Is B.Ed Special Education allowed?
Ans: No, B.Ed (Special Education) is not recognized for this recruitment.
What is the negative marking scheme?
Ans: There is a penalty of $1/6^{th}$ mark for every wrong answer.
I am in my final semester of B.Ed. Can I apply?
Ans: No, final year or final semester students are not eligible.
What is the minimum qualifying mark for the written exam?
Ans: General candidates need an aggregate of 33% (min 20% per paper). PwBD candidates need 20% aggregate (min 10% per paper).
Are candidates from outside Arunachal Pradesh eligible?
Ans: Yes, the notification is open to all Citizens of India.
Is the exam date fixed?
Ans: The scheduled date of 12th July 2026 is tentative and subject to change by the Commission.
Where will the exam centers be located?
Ans: The primary centers are Itanagar, Naharlagun, Doimukh/Nirjuli, Namsai, Pasighat, and Ziro.
What if I submit multiple applications?
Ans: Only the application with the highest Registration ID (RID) will be accepted.
Do I need to send a hard copy of the application?
Ans: Initially, no. However, if you clear the written exam, you must produce the hard copy during document verification.
