Job Description

Joining the Bihar Home Guard as an Adhinayak Anudeshak is more than just securing a "Sarkari Naukri"; it is about becoming a pillar of support for the state's internal security and emergency management framework. This role is perfect for young aspirants in Bihar who seek a stable, respectable, and impactful career path within the Home Department. Unlike traditional policing, this position focuses heavily on the training and instructional aspects of the Home Guard cadre, offering a unique blend of leadership and educational duties.

The long-term career stability here is exceptional. Being a state government employee in Bihar brings with it not just a steady paycheck, but also social prestige and the opportunity for steady promotions within the department. For students coming from smaller towns like Gaya, Darbhanga, or Bhagalpur, this is a prime opportunity to transition from academic life into a lucrative professional role with high growth potential.

๐ŸŽ“

Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination or an equivalent qualification by the cut-off date of August 1, 2025.

๐Ÿ’ธ

Note: Payments must be made online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, or UPI. Bank charges may apply.

Job Profile & Impact

The role of an Adhinayak Anudeshak (Adjutant Instructor) is pivotal. You are essentially the mentor for the Home Guard volunteers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting physical training sessions, teaching disciplinary protocols, and managing the instructional modules for new recruits. It is a high-impact role because the quality of the Home Guard force depends on your training. While it involves significant field work during training cycles, there is also a structured administrative component, making it a well-rounded career for those who enjoy active leadership.

๐ŸŽฏ

Who Should Apply

Best For: This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, possess a commanding personality, and have a passion for teaching and discipline. If you have been part of the NCC or sports during your school/college days, you will find the environment very familiar and rewarding.

Not Ideal For: If you prefer a 100% desk-bound job with no physical exertion, this might be grueling for you. The selection process involves a demanding physical efficiency test (running, high jump, and shot put), so a sedentary lifestyle is a strict no-go.

๐Ÿชช

Age Limit & Relaxations

  • General (Male): 18 - 37 years.

  • General (Female): 18 - 40 years.

  • BC/EBC (Male & Female): 18 - 40 years.

  • SC/ST (Male & Female): 18 - 42 years.

  • Government Employees: Up to 5 years relaxation for those with 3 years of regular service.

Salary & Perks

The Adhinayak Anudeshak post is a Pay Level-4 position. Under the 7th Pay Commission, the basic pay starts at approximately โ‚น25,500. When you add Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Medical Allowances, the estimated in-hand salary will range between โ‚น35,000 to โ‚น40,000 per month, depending on the city of posting. Additionally, you will be covered under the National Pension System (NPS) and enjoy job security that is unmatched in the private sector.

Selection Process

The journey to becoming an Adjutant Instructor involves two main stages:

  1. Written Examination: A 100-mark objective test covering Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, Science, and Current Affairs. You must score at least 30% to qualify for the next round.

  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This is the real challenge. It includes a 1.6 km run, High Jump, and Shot Put. This stage is of 100 marks and determines your final merit.

Expert Strategy: Start your day with a 2 km jog and basic core exercises nowโ€”don't wait for the written result. For the written part, focus on Class 10 (Matric) level NCERT books for Science and Social Science, as the syllabus is strictly based on that level.
