The selection is primarily based on physical endurance and trade skills:
Level-I: Running Test (Shortlisting) * Male: 10 km run.
Female: 08 km run.
Candidates equal to 15 times the vacancy will be shortlisted.
Level-II: Long Jump (Qualifying)
General/OBC: 12 ft (Male), 09 ft (Female).
ST: 09 ft (Male), 07 ft (Female).
Level-III: Weight Carrying Test (Final Merit)
Male: Carry 30 kg for 500 meters.
Female: Carry 20 kg for 500 meters.
Trade Test: Only for technical posts (Non-Ministerial).
Document Verification & Medical Exam: Final stage for qualified candidates.
Can candidates from outside Andaman & Nicobar apply?
Ans: Yes, any Indian citizen can apply, but reservation benefits (ST/OBC) are restricted to local residents of the A&N Islands.
What is the starting salary?
Ans: The posts are in Pay Level-1, with a basic pay range of ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 plus applicable allowances.
Is there a written exam?
