The selection is conducted in three rigorous stages:
Stage I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type): A screening test of 500 marks. It consists of Paper-I (General Studies & Engineering Aptitude) and Paper-II (Civil Engineering).
Stage II: Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type): Candidates equal to 15 times the vacancies are called for this stage. It consists of 5 papers (Gujarati, English, and 3 Civil Engineering papers) totaling 800 marks.
Stage III: Personal Interview: Worth 100 marks. Candidates equal to 3 times the vacancies are invited.
Final Merit: Based on the combined scores of the Mains Exam and Interview.
Can final-year engineering students apply?
Ans: Yes, you can apply for the Prelims, but you must pass and produce your degree before the Mains exam application.
What is the salary for these posts?
Ans: Class-I officers start at ā¹67,700āā¹2,08,700 (Level 11), and Class-II start at ā¹53,100āā¹1,67,800 (Level 9).
Is the Consent Deposit mandatory?
Ans: Yes. If you do not pay the ā¹500 consent deposit, your application will be cancelled, and you cannot sit for the exam.
Is the Consent Deposit refundable?
Ans: Yes, it is refunded to those who actually appear for the Preliminary exam.
Can I apply from another state?

What is the exam language?
