  1. Can I apply if I have a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering? 

Ans:  The notification states that candidates with only a Bachelor's degree are not eligible; you must have a Diploma.

  1. Is there negative marking? 

Ans:  Yes, 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

  1. What are the minimum passing marks? 

Ans:  The board can set a qualifying standard, but it will not be less than 40% for any category.

  1. Do I need to upload my mark sheets during application? 

Ans:  No, you only need to upload your photo and signature. Certificates are checked during document verification.

  1. I am from another state (e.g., Bihar). Can I apply for the reserved category? 

Ans:  No, reservation benefits (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) are only available to original residents of Gujarat.

  1. Can I pay the fee offline? 

Ans:  Generally, it is online. However, a special "Process Fee" of ₹500 can be paid at the GPSSB office if you miss the online deadline but have a confirmed form.

  1. What happens if I make a mistake in my name after confirming? 

Ans:  Corrections are not allowed after confirmation. You may have to fill out a new application, and only the latest confirmed one will be considered.

  1. Is there any physical test for this role? 

Ans:  The current notification only mentions a competitive written examination.

  1. What if I don't have a Computer Course Certificate? 

Ans:  If you studied computers in 10th or 12th, or have a degree/diploma with a computer subject, you are eligible.

  1. How many vacancies are there for women in the General category? 

Ans:  There are 38 seats reserved specifically for General category women.
