The recruitment will be conducted through a single-stage Competitive Written Examination:
Mode: MCQ-based (CBRT - Computer Based Response Test or OMR).
Negative Marking: 1/4 (0.25) marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score at least 40% in Part-A and 40% in Part-B separately.
Document Verification (DV): Candidates roughly two times the number of vacancies will be called for DV based on merit.
What is the salary for a GSSSB Staff Nurse (Ayurved)?
Ans: For the first 5 years, you receive a fixed pay of ₹40,800 per month. Afterward, you enter the Pay Level-5 scale (₹29,200 – ₹92,300).
Can students from other states apply?
Ans: Yes, provided you are an Indian citizen, but you must have a diploma from a Gujarat-based faculty and be registered with the Gujarat Ayurvedic Board.
Is there negative marking in the exam?
Ans: Yes, 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
What if I don't have a Computer Certificate right now?
Ans: You can still apply! However, you must produce the certificate before receiving your appointment letter.
I am a married woman; whose income counts for my NCL certificate?
Ans: For SEBC married women, the Non-Creamy Layer certificate must be based on your parents' income, not your husband's.
Will the exam be in English or Gujarati?
Ans: Part-A (General) and Part-B (Technical) will be in both Gujarati and English, except for the specific language comprehension sections.
Are there any seats for PH (Divyang) candidates?
Ans: A separate advertisement (No. 399/202526) has been issued specifically for a special recruitment drive for PH candidates.
What is the duration of the exam?
Ans: The combined duration for Part-A and Part-B is 3 hours (180 minutes).
Can I change my category after confirming the application?
Ans: No, category changes are not allowed after confirmation. If you made a mistake, you must submit a fresh application before the last date.
Do I get any extra marks for sports?
Ans: Yes, national or international level sports achievers get an additional 5% marks added to their exam score.
