Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) are now open for the post of Law Officer (English), a Group-B Gazetted position. This recruitment is being conducted for the Department of Personnel, H.P., and successful candidates will initially join as Job Trainees on a fixed monthly amount.

Minimum Eligibility: Professional Law Degree + 5 years Advocate experience.

Ans: No, the notification strictly requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Advocate.
What is the salary for this post?
Ans: Selected candidates will receive ā¹28,000/- per month as fixed emoluments for the Job Trainee period.
Is there negative marking?
Ans: Yes, 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer in the objective Paper-I.
I am from Punjab, can I get reservation benefits?
Ans: No, reservation and fee concessions are only for Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh.
What is the selection criteria for the interview?
Ans: You must score at least 45% (General) or 40% (Reserved) in the SAT (Paper-II) to qualify for the Personality Test.
Where will the exam be held?
Ans: The examination center will be in Shimla.
Is the Law degree from any university valid?
Ans: It must be a professional degree in Law from a recognized University.
What if I don't know the answer in the MCQ?
Ans: You should select Option 'E' if you do not want to answer, otherwise leaving it blank will also result in negative marking.
