What is the salary for an Agniveer?
Ans: The starting package is Rs. 30,000 per month, reaching Rs. 40,000 in the 4th year.
Is there any job security after 4 years?
Ans: Up to 25% of the batch will be enrolled in the regular cadre (permanent) based on performance.
What is the 'Seva Nidhi' package?
Ans: It is a one-time payment of approx. Rs. 10.04 Lakh (plus interest) given after 4 years.
Are bugle players allowed?
Ans: No, indefinite pitch or monotone instruments like the bugle are not eligible.
What are the physical requirements?
Ans: For both males and females, the minimum height is 157 cm.
What happens in the PFT?
Ans: Males must run 1.6 Km in 6:30 mins; Females have 8:00 mins.
Are tattoos allowed?
Ans: Only on the inner face of forearms and the back of the hand.
Do I get a pension?
Ans: No, Agniveers are not entitled to gratuity or pensionary benefits.
What is the pass mark for the written exam?
Ans: You must score at least 13 out of 50 to be considered for the Music Ability Test.
