Under its Skill Building Initiative for the Nation, the Marketing Division (Eastern Region) is looking to engage 150 Apprentices across various technical and non-technical disciplines.

Trade Apprentice (Fitter/Electrician/Electronic/Instrument/Machinist): Matric with regular full-time ITI in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Technician Apprentice (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Instrumentation, etc.): 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering branch with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Graduate Apprentice: Regular B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, or BBA degree with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Data Entry Operator (DEO): Class 12th pass (but below Graduate) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
General / OBC / EWS: ₹0 (Exempted)
SC / ST / PwBD: ₹0 (Exempted)

Candidates should keep scanned, self-attested copies of the following ready:
Proof of Date of Birth (Xth/Matriculation Certificate).
Educational Marksheets & Certificates (ITI/Diploma/Graduation).

Identity Proof: PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.
Recent Color Passport Size Photograph & Signature.
Bank Details: Passbook and Cancelled Cheque (Aadhaar Seeded Account).
Portal Registration: Register on the NAPS portal (for Trade/DEO) or NATS portal (for Technician/Graduate).
Find the Opportunity: Log in and search for IOCL (Marketing Division) Eastern Region using Establishment IDs: EWBKOC000077 (NATS) or E05201900011 (NAPS).
Submit Application: Click "Apply" for the specific discipline code you are interested in (only apply for one code).
Fill Microsoft Form: After applying on the portal, you must fill out the additional details and location preferences via the Microsoft Form link.
Review Profile: Ensure your aggregate marks and category details are correct on your portal profile before the deadline.
Final Submission: Complete both steps (Portal + Microsoft Form) before March 9, 2026, 5:00 PM.
The selection is designed to be straightforward and transparent:
Merit-Based Shortlisting: There is NO Written Test or Interview. Candidates are selected based on the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying exam (ITI/Diploma/Degree/12th).
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called to verify their original certificates.
Medical Examination: Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards prescribed by Indian Oil.
Can I apply if I have a B.E. or B.Tech degree?
Ans: No. Candidates with higher professional qualifications like B.E./B.Tech, MBA, CA, or LLB are not eligible.
Is there any stipend?
Ans: Yes, monthly stipends are paid as per the Apprentices Act and current government rules.
What is the duration of the training?
Ans: The apprenticeship training period is 12 months.
I completed my Diploma in 2020. Am I eligible?
Ans: No. For Technician/Graduate roles, you must have passed between 01.04.2022 and 28.02.2026.
Can I apply for more than one post?
Ans: No. You can only apply for one discipline code. Multiple applications will be rejected.
Is a permanent job guaranteed after training?
Ans: No. IOCL has no obligation to provide permanent employment after the apprenticeship ends.
Do I need to pay any application fee?
Ans: No, there is no application fee mentioned in the official notification.
Is distance learning education accepted?
Ans: No. Only regular full-time courses from recognized institutes are eligible.
What if my result date isn't on my marksheet?
Ans: You must obtain a certificate from your Principal/Institute confirming the result declaration date.
Are PwBD candidates eligible for technical roles?
Ans: PwBD candidates are not eligible for technical discipline codes 101 to 111 due to the hazardous nature of the industry.
