Technician Apprentice: 3-year regular full-time Diploma in relevant Engineering stream (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Instrumentation/Electronics) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Trade Apprentice (Technical): Matric (10th) with a 2-year regular full-time ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Graduate Apprentice: Regular full-time Graduate degree (BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Trade Apprentice (Data Entry Operator): Class 12th (but below Graduate) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).

The selection process is remarkably straightforward and transparent:
Merit List: There is No Written Test or Interview. Candidates are shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/Degree).
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called to verify their original certificates.
Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to passing a Pre-engagement Medical Fitness Test as per IOCL standards.
Is there any application fee for IOCL Apprentices?

Ans: No, PwBD candidates are not eligible for certain technical codes (101 to 111) due to safety reasons in a hazardous industry.
What if my college uses CGPA instead of marks?
Ans: You must convert your CGPA to a percentage based on your university's norms and provide a certificate during verification.
