The financial rewards for an Assistant Commandant are highly competitive, falling under Pay Level-10.
Basic Pay: Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500.
Estimated In-Hand: With current Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance, the starting gross salary is expected to be significantly higher than the basic pay.

The journey to the rank of AC (Engineer) involves four grueling stages:
PST & PET: Physical Standard Test (Height/Chest) followed by an Efficiency Test (100m race, 800m race, Long Jump, and Shot Put).
Written Exam: Two papers. Paper I is an objective CBT (General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, English) and Paper II is a subjective Civil Engineering test.
Documentation & Interview: Verification of originals and a 50-mark personality test.
Medical Examination (DME/RME): Final fitness check.

Q7: Is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) marks-based? Ans: No, PET is qualifying in nature. You just need to pass all events to move to the written stage.
Q8: What happens if I am pregnant at the time of the physical test?
Ans: If 12 weeks or more, you will be declared temporarily unfit, and your vacancy will be reserved until after confinement.
