Job Description

If you have ever dreamt of donning a prestigious mantle within the legal framework of the Manipur government, the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has just unveiled a lucrative pathway for you. The commission is seeking dedicated legal professionals to join the Law & Legislative Affairs Department as Under Secretaries and Law Officers. These aren't just administrative roles; they represent a significant step into the Manipur Legal Services, offering a rare blend of job security, social prestige, and the chance to influence the state's legislative landscape.

Securing a position here means becoming a vital cog in the machinery of justice and governance. As a direct recruit, you will enter a career path characterized by long-term stability and a clear trajectory for professional growth within the state’s executive branch. For law graduates looking to transition from the grueling pace of private practice or those seeking a structured environment to apply their legal acumen, this notification is a signal to begin a meticulous preparation journey.

🎓

Qualification

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university. Furthermore, you must have a working knowledge of the local language at least up to the Middle standard. While not mandatory, the commission looks favorably upon those with 5 years of advocate practice or experience in legal administrative work.

💸

Fees

The commission requires the examination fee to be paid exclusively through online modes like Net Banking or Debit/Credit cards.

  • General & OBC Candidates: Rs. 600/-.

  • SC & ST Candidates: Rs. 400/-.

  • Differently Abled Persons (DAPs): Exempted (No Fee).
