Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a prestigious Miniratna Company and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), has officially announced a massive recruitment drive for the year 2025-26. This notification is a golden ticket for Indian nationals holding a Diploma or higher degree in technical fields to secure a regular, stable, and high-paying government job in the coal mining sector.

Candidates must meet the following minimum criteria to apply:

Note: Qualifications obtained through distance learning or part-time modes are not eligible.

Computer Based Test (CBT): A 100-mark test lasting 90 minutes.
Section A (70 Marks): Technical questions related to your specific engineering discipline.
Section B (30 Marks): General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
Document Verification: Candidates who clear the CBT cut-off will be called for physical verification of original documents.
Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to being found medically fit as per CIL rules.
Can final year students apply?
Ans: No, you must have your results and certificates by the Last Date of March 05, 2026.
Is there any negative marking?
Ans: No, there is no penalty for wrong answers in the CBT.
Can I apply for more than one post?
Ans: No, candidates can apply for only one position. Multiple applications will be cancelled.
What is the training period?
Ans: One year for E&T and two years for Mechanical and Electrical cadres.
Is work experience required?
Ans: No, these are trainee positions open to freshers with the required qualification.
Will SC/ST candidates get travel allowance?
Ans: Yes, outstation SC/ST candidates will be reimbursed 2nd Class Non-AC fare for the journey.
What is the minimum qualifying mark?
Ans: 50 marks for UR/EWS and 40 marks for reserved categories out of 100.
