Ans: No, categories cannot be changed under any circumstances once selected.

  1. Is there negative marking in the exam? 

Ans: Yes, 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

  1. What is the minimum qualifying score? 

Ans: You need at least 40% marks in the written exam (35% for SC/BC Punjab) to be eligible for an interview.

  1. Do I need to send a hard copy of the application to PPSC?

Ans:  No, only keep a copy for yourself. You will need to show it during the scrutiny phase after the exam.

  1. I am from a state other than Punjab; can I get reservation benefits? 

Ans: No, reservation benefits like age relaxation are only for Punjab Domicile candidates. Others must apply under the General Category.

  1. What is the "Initial Pay" during probation? 

Ans: You will receive a fixed emolument of Rs. 47,600 without any extra allowances for the first 3 years.

  1. Is Punjabi mandatory for everyone?

Ans:  Yes, passing Matriculation-level Punjabi is essential, though some exemptions exist for War Heroes or special cases .

  1. What happens if I have technical issues during payment? 

Ans: You can re-login and click the 'Verify Status' or 'Online Payment' link to complete the process.

  1. Who is a "Person with Benchmark Disability"? 

Ans: A person with at least 40% of a specified disability as certified by a medical authority.

  1. How will I get my Admit Card? 

Ans: PPSC will release a public notice on their website with instructions to download it before the exam.
