The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially released the notification for the Recruitment of Assistant for the Panel Year 2025.   1. What is the initial salary of an RBI Assistant? 

Ans: The starting basic pay is ₹29,000, but with allowances, the initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately ₹58,514/-.

  1. Can I apply for more than one RBI office? 

Ans: No. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one office only.

  1. Is there negative marking in the exams? 

Ans: Yes. Both Preliminary and Main exams have a negative marking of 1/4th for every wrong answer.

  1. What if I am from another state? Can I apply to any office? 

Ans: Yes, but you must pass the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) of that specific state. If you aren't proficient in the local language, you will be disqualified.

  1. Is the 50% graduation marks requirement mandatory for everyone? 

Ans: It is mandatory for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates only need a passing degree.

  1. Will I get a refund if the exam is cancelled? 

Ans: The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

  1. What does the Handwritten Declaration say? 

Ans: The text is: "I, (Name), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.".

  1. Can I use a scribe if I am a PwBD candidate? 

Ans: Yes, candidates with 40% or more disability (and some with less than 40% having difficulty writing) can use a scribe at their own cost.

  1. Are there any promotion prospects? 

Ans: Yes, RBI offers reasonable prospects for promotion to higher officer grades based on internal performance and exams.

  1. Do I need to send a hard copy of the application to RBI? 

Ans: No. You do not need to send any printouts or certificates to the bank at the time of application.
