The selection is a grueling three-stage journey:
Phase-I (Objective): General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning (200 marks).
Phase-II (Online/Descriptive): Three papers covering Economic & Social Issues, English (Writing Skills), and General Finance & Management (300 marks total).
Interview: Final stage worth 75 marks.

Ans: No, you must have passed the qualifying examination and hold the marksheet/certificate on or before April 01, 2026.

Ans: Yes, in Phase-I and Objective parts of Phase-II, there is a penalty for wrong answers.
Q3: How many attempts are allowed for General Category?
Ans: Candidates from General/EWS categories are restricted to six attempts for the Phase-I examination.
Q4: What is the text for the handwritten declaration?
Ans: "I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.".
Q5: Can I apply for both General and DEPR posts?
Ans: Yes, but you must apply separately for each post and pay the fees for both.

Ans: Physical calculators are banned; however, a non-programmable online calculator is provided for DSIM Paper-II only.
Q9: Can I change my exam center later?
Ans: Center change requests are generally not entertained, though limited editing is allowed during the 2-day Edit Window for a fee of ₹200.
Q10: Is the handwritten declaration in block letters allowed?
Ans: No, neither the signature nor the handwritten declaration should be in CAPITAL LETTERS; doing so will lead to rejection.
