You must clear four main stages to join the SSB:
Stage I: PET & PST: Physical Efficiency Test (Race) and Physical Standard Test (Height/Chest measurement).
Stage II: Written Exam: A 2-hour Computer Based Test (CBT) with 100 MCQs covering GK, Math, Reasoning, and Hindi/English.
Stage III: Documentation & Skill Test: Verification of original papers and a practical test of your trade skills (50 marks, qualifying nature).
Stage IV: Medical Examination: Detailed Medical Exam (DME) and Review (RME) if necessary.
Can I apply for more than one post?
Ans: No, a candidate can only apply for one post.
Is there a height relaxation for Gorkhas?
Ans: Yes, candidates from the Gorkha community and North Eastern states have lower height requirements.
What is the passing mark for the written exam?
Ans: 50% for UR/EWS/OBC/Ex-SM and 45% for SC/ST.
Is the job permanent?
