HC (Veterinary): 12th with Science and Biology plus a 2-year Diploma in Veterinary/Animal Husbandry.
HC (Steward): 12th pass plus a Diploma in Catering & Kitchen Management and 1 year of experience.
UR / EWS / OBC Candidates: ₹100 (Non-refundable).
SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen: Exempted (No Fee).

Candidates must clear these four major hurdles:
Stage I: PET & PST: Physical Efficiency Test (Race) and Physical Standard Test (Height/Chest measurement).
Stage II: Written Exam: A 3-hour Computer Based Test (CBT) for 150 marks.
Stage III: Skill Test: (Only for HC Electrician) Qualifying trade test.
Stage IV: Documentation & Medical: Verification of original papers followed by a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
What is the salary for an SSB Head Constable?
Ans: The basic pay ranges from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (Level-4), plus allowances like DA and HRA.
Can female candidates apply?
Ans: Yes, females are encouraged to apply and are exempted from the application fee.
Is there any physical running test?
Ans: Yes. Males must run 1.6 Kms in 6.5 minutes, and females 800 meters in 4 minutes.
I am in my final year of diploma. Can I apply?
Ans: Candidates appearing for exams in 2026 are eligible, provided they meet criteria by the closing date.
What is the minimum height required?
Ans: For General/OBC males, it is usually 165 cm to 170 cm depending on the specific post.
Is the job permanent?
Ans: The posts are temporary but likely to continue and become permanent.
Can I apply for both Communication and Electrician?
Ans: No, you can only apply for one post.
What happens if my biometric doesn't match?
Ans: Your candidature may be marked as "suspected," and you could be rejected.
What is the passing mark for the written exam?
