Verify OTP: Enter the OTP received on your phone to activate your account.
Profile Update: Fill in your personal details, address, and language proficiency as per your School Leaving Certificate.
Select Post: Click on 'Apply Now' next to the specific cadre you wish to join.
Educational & Experience Details: Enter your qualification (degree, percentage) and work history carefully.
Upload Photo/Sign: Upload a scanned JPG photo (max 150KB) and signature (max 50KB).
Payment & Confirm: Check the preview, pay the application fee online, and Confirm your application to get the receipt.
The selection will be handled by the Appointment Authority based on the following stages:
Scrutiny of Applications: Verification of basic eligibility and experience.
Examination/Interview: Depending on the number of applicants, the SMC may conduct a Written Test, Practical Test, or Oral Interview.
Physical/Skill Test: Specifically for posts like Driver and Marshal.
Document Verification: Final checking of original certificates.
Merit List: Final selection based on marks obtained in the tests.
Can I apply for more than one post?
Ans: Yes, but you must submit separate applications and fees for each cadre. Only the last confirmed application for a specific cadre will be considered.
Is computer knowledge mandatory?
Ans: Yes, for most posts, you must pass the CCC/CCC+ exam within one year of appointment if you haven't already.
What if I don't have a Non-Creamy Layer certificate?
Ans: SEBC candidates must provide a certificate issued on or after 01/04/2024 to claim reservation.
I am from Maharashtra, can I apply?
Ans: Yes, but you will be treated as a General/Unreserved candidate. Reservation benefits are only for Gujarat residents.
Will there be an interview for the Clerk post?
Ans: The SMC will decide whether to hold a written test or interview based on the volume of applications.
Can I correct my form after payment?
Ans: No. Once the application is Confirmed, no changes can be made.
Is there any physical test for the Marshal post?
Ans: Yes, it includes a 100m run, 2km run, and rope climbing.
What is the training period salary?
Ans: Most posts have a 3-year fixed-pay training period (e.g., Rs. 16,500 to Rs. 18,500 per month) before moving to the full pay scale.
How will I know the exam date?
Ans: SMC will notify candidates via SMS and updates on the official website.
What if two candidates get the same marks?
Ans: The older candidate will be given priority in the merit list.
