The selection journey consists of two primary stages:
Written Main Examination: A 100-mark objective test.
Physical Standard & Efficiency Test: Mandatory measurements and running (Qualifying only).
Total Questions: 100.
Time Duration: 120 Minutes.
Negative Marking: 0.25 (1/4th) mark for every wrong answer.
Key Subjects: UP General Knowledge (20 marks), Computer/IT (15 marks), History, Polity, Economy, Environment, and Data Interpretation.
Expert Strategy: Focus heavily on Uttar Pradesh-specific GK and Computer Awareness, as these two sections together account for 35% of your score. For the Physical test, start a consistent jogging routine now; men must cover 4.8 km in 25 minutes, and women 2.4 km in 14 minutes.
Can I apply if I didn't take PET 2025?
Ans: No. Only candidates with a valid PET 2025 score card issued by the commission are eligible.
Is there a minimum score required in PET?
Ans: Shortlisting is based on merit, but anyone with zero or negative marks in PET 2025 is automatically disqualified.
Can students from other states apply?
Ans: Yes, but they will be treated as General/Unreserved candidates and cannot claim any reservation benefits.
Is the Physical Test counted for the final merit list?
Ans: No. The Physical test is qualifying in nature. Final selection is based entirely on your Written Main Exam marks.
What if I made a mistake in my PET 2025 photo?
Ans: You cannot change the photo or signature during this application; the system uses what you uploaded for PET 2025.
I have a 'C' certificate in NCC. Will I get extra marks?
Ans: The notification specifically mentions preference for NCC 'B' certificates; it serves as a tie-breaker in "other things being equal" cases.
What is the EWS certificate validity?
Ans: It must be based on the income of the 2025-26 financial year and issued between 01-04-2026 and 06-07-2026.
Can I modify my application after the final submission?
