Joining the Indian Navy as an Agniveer is not just a job; it’s a prestigious way of life. Under the Agnipath Scheme, you will be enrolled for a period of four years, forming a distinct and dynamic rank within the Navy. You will receive world-class training at INS Chilka, Odisha, and gain skills that are highly valued in both the military and civilian sectors.
This recruitment is particularly special because it covers two batches (01/2027 and 02/2027) simultaneously through the INET 2026 entrance test. Whether you have just finished high school or your 10th grade, this is your chance to safeguard our seas for a "Viksit Samriddha Bharat".
Agniveer (MR): Matriculation (10th Pass) with minimum 50% marks.
Agniveer (SSR): 10+2 with Maths & Physics (minimum 50% marks) OR a 3-year Diploma in Engineering.
Examination Fee: ₹550/- for all candidates.
GST: 18% GST extra.
Payment Mode: Online via Net Banking, Visa/Master/RuPay Cards, or UPI.

Can I apply if I am appearing for my 10th/12th board exams in 2025-26?
Ans: Yes, you can apply provided you fulfill all other criteria and produce original marksheets during the recruitment process.
What is the salary of an Agniveer?
Ans: You start with a monthly package of ₹30,000, which increases annually. In the 4th year, the package is ₹40,000.
Is there any pension after 4 years?
Ans: No, Agniveers are not entitled to pension or gratuity.
What is the "Seva Nidhi" package?
Ans: It is a one-time payment of approximately ₹10.04 Lakh (plus interest) given after 4 years, consisting of your contributions and a matching government contribution.
Can I marry during the 4-year service?
Ans: No, Agniveers must remain unmarried for the entire four-year tenure.
What is the negative marking in INET?
Ans: There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Are NCC 'C' certificate holders exempt from the exam?
Ans: Yes, verified NCC 'C' certificate holders and sponsor candidates are exempted from Stage I (INET) and go directly to Stage II.
What are the physical test requirements for females?
Ans: Females must complete a 1.6 km run in 8 minutes, 15 squats, 10 push-ups, and 10 sit-ups.
What is the height requirement?
Ans: The minimum height for both males and females is 157 cm.
Can I be permanently enrolled in the Navy?
Ans: After 4 years, up to 25% of each batch will be offered the chance to join the regular cadre based on performance.
