The selection journey is divided into three grueling yet rewarding stages:
Stage 1: Skill Test (Qualifying): A screening to check your basic ability to play an instrument from List A (Trumpet, Cornet, Piccolo, etc.).
Stage 2: Band Performance Test (75 Marks): Your core musical expertise is tested here (60 marks for trade skill + 15 bonus marks for additional instruments from List B).
Stage 3: Interview (25 Marks): A test of your personality, expression, and general knowledge.
Expert Strategy: Since there is no written exam, your focus must be 100% on musical precision and physical fitness. Practice your primary instrument for at least 3-4 hours daily. Additionally, start a morning running routine to ensure you meet the height and chest requirements effortlessly.
Q1: Can candidates from other states apply?
Ans: Yes, but they will be treated as Unreserved (General) candidates and must meet the age limit of 33 years.

Ans: No, selection is based purely on the Band Performance Test and Interview.
