Q1: Is there an interview for this post?

Ans:  No, the selection is strictly based on the Written Test results.

Q2: What is the minimum qualifying mark? 

Ans:  It is 40% for Unreserved candidates and 30% for SC/ST/SEBC and PwD categories.

Q3: Can I apply if I live outside Odisha? 

Ans:  No, you must be a domicile of Odisha and be able to speak, read, and write Odia.

Q4: Is there negative marking in the exam? 

Ans:  Yes, 0.5 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Q5: What happens in case of a tie in marks? 

Ans:  The aggregate percentage from your Graduation will be the first tie-breaker, followed by your date of birth (older candidate gets preference).

Q6: Can I edit my application after submission? 

Ans:  No, there is no edit option after final submission, so verify every detail twice.

Q7: Where will the exam be held? 

Ans:  The zones are Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Jeypore, and Sambalpur.

Q8: What if I don't have an Odia pass certificate? 

Ans:  You must have passed Odia as a subject in HSC or an equivalent Middle School standard test to be eligible.

Q9: Do I need to send a hard copy of the application now? 

Ans:  No, only shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit the hard copy during verification.

Q10: Is this a pensionable job?

Ans:   It is covered under the Contributory Pension Scheme (NPS), not the old 1992 pension rules.
